Dr. Barron joined the practice in 1999 straight from her residency training at Harrisburg Family Practice in Pennsylvania. She had completed medical school at the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University. She has a love of office procedures and teaches our no-scalpel vasectomies and other procedures. As part of her journey as a practitioner and an educator, she has felt as though she may have missed something in her medical school training, and so she has pursued an education in osteopathic medicine. Her training has included all major modalities including cranial therapy. In 2017 she trained and sat for her boards through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and enjoys working with patients in this field. Dr Barron is passionate about getting our EMR to work efficiently for patients and staff.
On the home front since her children are grown she has turned her attention to participating in the local Master Gardener program and building a backyard habitat pond. She and her husband enjoy entertaining and often host residency events in their home, which has a game and theatre room – their home has become the “second home” for the residency. With her seamstress skills, she is often the instigator of elaborate Halloween costume themes in the office, which the patients have come to expect on a yearly basis.
