Iyad Sabbagh, MD, MBA, is chief physician executive and president of Valley Physician Enterprise. Dr. Sabbagh has over 13 years of senior healthcare management experience within multi-hospital systems. Most recently, he served as vice president, chief quality officer, and associate chief medical officer for Northern Light Health, a nine-hospital, not-for-profit health system in Maine with over 10,000 employees, a 690-member employed physician group, and nine long-term care and residential facilities.

Dr. Sabbagh earned his medical degree from the University of Damascus, School of Medicine in Syria and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, University of Illinois in Chicago. He earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is a Certified Physician Executive (CPE). He is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
