About

I am so excited that I have the opportunity to train at this residency program. I was looking for a rural residency that offered a wide array of pathology and experiences while being unopposed. That is exactly what I found here! Before medical school, I was in the Army Reserves for 8 years while I attended undergrad and deployed to Kuwait and Iraq in 2017. During medical school, I was fascinated with every rotation (except surgery) and did not know which one I wanted to commit to. I landed on family medicine because of the vast scope of practice and I’m so glad I did! When I’m not working, I can be found lugging my toddler, Grady, with my wife, Shelby, and newborn, Dean, in tow. I also like to golf, watch the Braves play baseball, and play videos games when the boys go to sleep. I know this residency will prepare me for my future plans of providing care in the outpatient and inpatient settings and look forward to the next 3 years of training!
