Focused on the well-being of infants, children, and teenagers from birth
to the age of 18.
At Valley Health, the emotional, mental and physical well-being of your
child is important to us. That’s why we not only treat children
experiencing acute and chronic illness, we also provide preventive health
care to make sure your child remains healthy and strong. Pediatricians
offer primary care to children in a family-friendly environment.
Our pediatricians perform a vast array of services, including:
Our pediatricians work closely with other medical specialists and healthcare professionals and help you understand and navigate your child’s health and treatment.
Another Level of Pediatric Care
At Winchester Medical Center, you’ll find a pediatrician working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our experienced pediatric hospitalists are there to care for your child and coordinate their care with their regular family pediatrician.
Our 17-bed Pediatric unit is designed with children in mind. Each room comes equipped with cable television, and a parent is always welcome to sleep in the room with his or her child. Our child life specialist works with your child to ensure their life remains as normal as possible during treatments and hospitalization, while helping them understand their illness.
Because we have good working relationships with most of the pediatric subspecialists in the region, including the University of Virginia, INOVA, and Children’s National Hospital, your child can receive state-of-the-art care locally without traveling far.
