Winchester Medical Center has a low primary cesarean section rate and a high success rate for patients who attempt a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). With an experienced, highly skilled and supportive staff, Winchester Medical Center has been awarded four stars in the Breastfeeding-Friendly Designation Program. The five star program awards a star for every two steps achieved in the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding as defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Baby Friendly USA.
