Valley Health Wellness Services offers two options for personalized nutrition education and counseling, providing individuals with the knowledge and strategies needed to embrace a healthy diet.
Medical Nutrition Therapy is an evidenced-based approach to help manage certain medical conditions. It is developed and implemented by a registered dietitian with the approval of your doctor or health care provider. Our registered and licensed dietitian will review your health history, discuss your current health issues and concerns, assess your individual needs, assist you to set nutrition goals as part of your personalized nutrition care plan, and keep your referring provider informed of your plan.

Do I need a referral for Medical Nutrition Therapy?
Yes, a physician referral is required for all Medical Nutrition Therapy appointments. Referrals are also needed for insurance reimbursement.

How do I set up an appointment?

Are you ready to make changes to improve your eating habits for health and wellness? Valley Health Wellness Services offers wellness nutrition coaching for individuals who want to make changes to their routine.
Wellness nutrition coaching is not a disease specific service. Wellness nutrition coaching is provided by our registered and licensed dietitian and session topics vary by your interests, questions or goals. Appointments may include counseling and education for general healthful nutrition to meet nutrient needs; nutrition choices to support recovery post treatment for alcohol use disorder (AUD) and/or substance use disorder (SUD); nutrition impact on inflammation and chronic pain; intuitive eating counseling; or meeting nutritional needs on a vegetarian or vegan diet. Nutrition coaching offers insight into what you can do to support your health, nutrition intake, and relationship with food.
