Valley Health Welcomes New Chief Data & Analytics Officer

Valley Health welcomes Steve Motil as our new Chief Data & Analytics Officer.

This new role is a welcome addition, as we aim to embrace new technologies and capabilities to improve care, lower costs and embrace new ways to deliver care. To that end, in this new role, Steve will be responsible for using data and analytics to create value for our organization. He will lead our efforts to become more data-driven, improve our data skills, and include AI in our plans.

Steve was previously the Director of Data Analytics at Optum. Before that, he worked for 15 years at Kettering Health Network in roles related to analytics and medical technology. He has a BS in Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University.

He will have direct accountability for Business, Clinical, and Enterprise Data Warehouse teams and will be a member of the senior leadership team.

Steve has experience in leadership, business intelligence, data management, change management, and healthcare technology. He is passionate about improving people and organizations through leadership, which fits well with our mission and values. We believe his leadership will take our data and analytics efforts to new heights.
