Valley Health Celebrates Strasburg Medical Office Building Grand Opening

Valley Health is proud to announce the opening of the new Medical Office Building in Strasburg, VA, a 15,000 square foot facility designed to enhance healthcare access and services for the community of Strasburg, a rapidly growing part of Shenandoah County, and surrounding areas. The new building, located at 33699 Old Valley Pike, Strasburg, VA 22657, will officially open its doors on Monday, November 25, 2024.

The Strasburg Medical Office Building will consolidate and expand primary care and urgent care into one building, as well as add walk-in lab services to the Strasburg community.

The new building will be home to Valley Health Urgent Care Express, which will move out of its existing Strasburg location and into the new space on November 25. With over 2,200 square feet of space and four exam rooms, the Urgent Care Express space offers care for those in need of non-emergent care for minor illnesses and injuries. Advanced Practice Providers Brittany Wright, NP, and Makaylea Lahart, PA will see patients on a walk-in basis. In addition, an outpatient laboratory is also housed in the new facility, offering routine blood draws and other prescribed lab work.

Much of the new space will be home to Valley Health Primary Care | Strasburg, formally known as Valley Health Shenandoah Memorial Hospital Family Medicine, which has been located across the street from the new facility. The new space includes 15 exam rooms with a more spacious treatment room and an expanded nurses’ station. New patients will be seen by Katelyn Carpenter, MD, William Dressler, MD, Craig Phillips, MD, Elizabeth Holladay, PA, and Sarah Schlenz, PA.

“We are excited to house all of these healthcare services in one place, and give our patients and team members more space in which to deliver and receive compassionate, high-quality care. This new building represents our commitment to providing healthcare that’s easily accessible to the residents of Strasburg and the Shenandoah Valley,” said Mark Nantz, President and CEO. “This new facility will allow us to continue serving our community with comprehensive and convenient care.”

Valley Health Urgent Care Express and Lab Services will begin seeing patients in the new medical office building on Monday, November 25, 2024 and Valley Health Primary Care will be moving to this new location on Monday, December 9, 2024.

Shenandoah Memorial Hospital’s Outpatient Rehabilitation program will remain in its current location at 33820 Old Valley Pike, and will be undergoing minor renovations in the coming months.
