Surgical Oncology Practice Enrolling Patients in Pancreatic Cyst Clinical Trial
- Category: Cancer Care

Valley Health Surgical Oncology is actively enrolling patients in a clinical study to determine the best surveillance method for non-cancerous pancreatic cysts. The study (EA2185 Trial) compares more frequent monitoring versus less frequent monitoring to learn which approach leads to better outcomes for patients.
Pancreatic cysts are often identified during routine imaging. Patients who have a pancreatic cyst likely require periodic imaging to monitor the cyst. Most cysts are not cancerous and do not need to be surgically removed, unless a change in the cyst becomes worrisome during follow-up screening exams.
