About
Dr. Lyness is a fellowship-trained Endocrine Surgeon with a great interest in caring for patients of all ages with disorders, diseases, or cancer of the thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands. She is experienced in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of many endocrine issues.
Thyroid: thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, hyperthyroidism (Graves disease), toxic and non-toxic goiter
Parathyroid: hyperparathyroidism (primary, secondary, tertiary), parathyroid cancer
Adrenal: functional and non-functional adrenal tumors (adenoma), adrenal cancer
Neck: lymph node excision and dissection for the diagnosis or treatment of cancer
Dr. Lyness is also a board-certified General Surgeon experienced in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of conditions of the gastrointestinal tract (stomach, intestines, gallbladder), perineum (fissure, hemorrhoids), abdominal wall (hernia), and skin (cysts, tumors) among many others.
Dr. Lyness provides individualized diagnostic and treatment plans for each patient. She is an advocate for patient education and it is her practice to work closely with patients and referring providers in order to facilitate complete and coordinated care.
