Percival Buenaventura, MD, is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon specializing in general thoracic surgery, lung cancer, and benign and malignant thoracic diseases. Dr. Buenaventura attended medical school at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey. He then went on to complete his general surgery, cardiothoracic surgery and minimally invasive surgery fellowship training at the University of Pittsburgh. Before joining Valley Health, he was most recently on the staff at Wellspan Health in central Pennsylvania.

Dr. Buenaventura enjoys giving back to the field of medicine, having served on the academic staff at both the University of Pittsburgh and West Virginia University.

    The only way to describe the treatment I got is I never felt more comfortable with someone that is going to help me fight this cancer they were courteous understanding respectful and showed concern and talked with me and listen to me which makes me feel that I am lucky to have such a good team helping me fight this cancer
