About
Maureen Hill is a board certified Surgical Oncologist and General Surgeon. She graduated from the Fox Chase Cancer Center Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship where she served as the John Drew Ridge Chief Administrative Fellow. In addition, as a general surgery resident at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, she served as the Chief Administrative Resident. Dr. Hill has been heavily involved in academics and quality improvement since her time as a resident at Dartmouth. There she published one of the pinnacle studies investigating over prescribing of opioids after common surgical procedures that help launch a national enquiry into the opioid prescribing habits of surgeons and opioid use of patients after surgical discharges. Through this work she has developed a passion for improving patient and physician knowledge surrounding safe opioid use and prescribing.
Dr. Hill cares for a wide breadth of surgical oncology disease sites and specializes in robotic surgery. She joined the Valley Health Surgical Oncology program in 2021.

Research Interests:
Valley Health Surgical Oncology is actively enrolling patients in a clinical study to determine the best surveillance method for non-cancerous pancreatic cysts. The study compares more frequent monitoring versus less frequent monitoring to learn which approach leads to better outcomes for patients.
