Community Sponsorship Program

Valley Health believes in being a good community partner and seeks to impact the health and well-being of the communities where we live and work. We recognize that being a healthy community extends well beyond physical health outcomes. Through our Community Sponsorship Program, we are proud to support community health and wellness initiatives, educational programs, local nonprofit organizations, and community-wide events and festivals, with the goal of making our communities vibrant places to live, work and raise a family.

Sponsorships awarded through this program must be used to directly benefit the communities that Valley Health serves in the northern Shenandoah Valley and the surrounding region. Preference is given to requests that are directly related to improving health. Eligible nonprofit organizations must operate on the local level or have an affiliate/chapter that operates locally.

Before applying, please note:

  • In order for organizations to be considered they must be:
    • A not-for-profit health-related organization (for example: Relay for Life, March of Dimes)
    • A recognized government entity: state, county, or city agency, including law enforcement or fire departments, that are requesting funds exclusively for public purposes;
    • A public or private high school, charter school, community/junior college, state/private college or university; or
    • A church or other faith-based organization/community service organization with a proposed project that benefits the community at large with a health-related focus
  • Applications must be completed in full to be considered
  • Submitting an application does not guarantee funding or future funding
  • Valley Health reserves the right to adjust the amount awarded.

  • Your request will be reviewed and your organization notified of the decision within two weeks of the date of submission.
